Engine Options
There are four engine options for the Silverado 1500, including the standard TurboMax engine. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission to deliver 310 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 430 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm.
Available engine options include a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 gas engine, a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 gas engine, and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. The 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel offers the most pronounced performance, generating 305 horsepower at 3750 rpm and 495 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 rpm. All available engines for the Silverado 1500 are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Towing and Hauling
The Silverado 1500 is a popular work truck because of its immense towing and hauling capabilities. With the 3.0L Duramax engine, the Silverado 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds and a maximum available payload of 2,260 pounds. When you choose a 1500 Custom or higher trim, you’ll get a complete trailering package that includes a hitch, receiver hitch, hitch platform, Hitch Guidance, a 7-wire electrical harness, and more.

Technology and Connectivity
The 2025 Silverado 1500 comes with a 7-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with wireless smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
